WISPIRG Video Coordinators home pageThis is a featured page

Hey WISPIRGers! This page will act as our central hub for the WISPIRG Video Coordinators program, so if you would like to be involved in any capacity please sign up for a user name so you can take advantage of it! Wikis can be intimidating at first, but some of the very best activism in the country has been utilizing them to great effects. Definitely let me know bymessaging me on the wiki if you are having any questions or problems, as my aim is to utilize this forum heavily for a host of our projects. For your convenience we have also put up the Getting Started and a Video Uploading FAQ pages which will hopefully be helpful as well.

Some of the very best activism in the country right now has been made possible directly through their use of wikis, and I am using the example of wikis like Get Fisa Right, the Voter Suppression wiki, and Join the Impact as I construct this one. This wiki is definitely a work in progress though, so also please let me know if there is anything else I can do to make it easier to get started, how I can make it easier, or ways I can make it even more effective.

This will be the place to upload and check for all of the videos we take with the flip cameras as well as all of our episodes of Mad Progress TV. We are also going to use this page to organize our efforts, whether they be long term planning or specific day to day tasks. Furthermore, it will also act as a social network as we organize our efforts both in Madison and nation wide.

Again, let me know if you have any questions, and check back here to see the latest developments!

WISPIRG WYOU Reps personal Home Pages

The WYOU Reps program has been recently developed by the Policy Committee of WYOU with WISPIRG specifically in mind as an ideal organizational participant. This program is designed for aspiring videographers of all levels to receive differing training sessions free of charge in return for becoming members of WYOU (a $25 charge) and committing a certain number of volunteer hours. These training sessions are typically $40 a piece, so this will be quite the value! This is especially true since WISPIRG WYOU Reps will be committing to volunteer hours that will be mutually beneficial to WISPIRG as well, such as coordinating large scale promotional efforts of WISPIRG produced programming that will be broadcast on the station. Participants will take part in regular planning and training sessions and will also be expected to take part in planning sessions online.

WISPIRG Video Fellows personal Home Pages

WISPIRG Video Fellows will be the main contacts for WYOU Reps for their specific campaigns. Their work will fall neatly within the assigned duties of Media Interns and Visibility interns, but any intern or volunteer is encouraged to apply. Their main duties will consist of filming WISPIRG videos with flip cameras that promote and report on WISPIRG campaigns. To ensure optimum coverage of everything WISPIRG there will be at least one primary video fellow assigned to work on each individual campaign, and other special reports will be solicited from the fellows as well.
